- Khenpo Sonam Gyatsol Rinpoche
- Professor of Buddhist Philosophy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies Sarnath, Varanasi 221007, India -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Born 1952, and became monk at the age of 15. In 1976 at the age of 24 started teaching at the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan. Because he studied all religionist practices of the East and West, and received all teachings of various lineages of Tibetan Buddhism. He practiced the main lineage Kargyudpas Mahamudra, Six Teachings of Naropa and complete self lineage teaching. Honored as Khenpo by 16th H.H. Karmapa, 12th H.H. Gyalwang Drukpa. He holds Senior Khenpo position and professorship in the Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies. He served in many university boards, Committees, over thirty years, published three books and edited 15 others.
